They have made quite a few improvements over the last couple years and are continuing with more. The pool was like bathwater they heat with woodburning broiler.
The showers, bathrooms, and laundry facilities were updated and clean. The property was kept clean. Mosquitoes were minimal. Owner was very helpful with information. We are hoping to come back next year!! Great Campground! We stayed at this campground the week of the 4th of July. The owner is the best. She considers it her mission to see to it that campers are well taken care of - mission accomplished! She was very helpful with directions and recommendations, and is knowledgeable about the area.
The campground sites are shaded with plenty of room. We will absolutely return! I worked at a summer camp in Michigan over the summer in and we went here twice throughout the summer. The service was great! They have a pool, showers, mini golf, a store and a great campsite. The owner and her family are really nice. We went over to their mobile home and played with the puppies and talked with them for a while.
They really know how to provide excellent customer service. I really enjoyed staying here. I'm from Michigan originally and just came back from California for the summer. It was worth it! They also kept everything around the camp grounds very neat. When we went out during the day I always looked forward to coming back here by the evening because I really enjoyed the campsite.
I spent a lot of time roaming around the campground with a few of my teen campers. I was sad to leave but it was a great time here. Even in the rain! We booked our site while this campground was still a KOA and, when we arrived, everything went smooth. Unfortunately, it rained during the majority of our stay, but the trees helped keep us dry.
The day before we were set to break camp, it was dry and sunny, but it was forecast to rain that night and into the early afternoon. The manager helped switch our accommodations, for our laat night, to a cabin; that way we could break camp in the dry and stow away our gear to drive out the next morning. We appreciated SO much. The staff was super friendly and the remodeling that the facilities are undergoing look great and were of NO inconvenience, during our stay.
We look forward to being able to return for more UP adventures in the future! Would highly recommend! The Campground is mostly wooded and easy to maneuver through. The sites and roads had been recently re stoned and graded so they were in good condition. Our site was a pull through, level and has a shared power post with the sit next to it. Power was very good and no problem with voltage. Our neighbor did take the 50 amp plug that we paid for, but since the weather was cool we just stepped down to the 30 amp since we didn't need AC.
The posts only have 1 30 amp and 1 50 amp plug for two sites. The owner was very nice and refunded us for the inconvenience. The campground is no longer a KOA but they also honored our KOA discount since we made our reservation before they split. The owner said they had purchased the campground two years ago and were trying to get it upgraded which appeared to be going well. We would stay here again. Clean showers and pool, spacious sites, friendly owners. Great in between spot to see Tahquamenon and Munising.
Will definitely be back here again. The facilities are being upgraded to be "top notch" and the remade campground has alot to offer. It is close to scenic drives and is a true hidden gem for the price. There is plenty to do at the camp for kids and adults as well. Helpful and Friendly Helpful and Friendly The new owners are doing a wonderful job. The pool is heated, grounds are neat, rest rooms and showers are clean. Power was good. The owners were very helpful and friendly.
We only stayed one night and it was relaxing. We'll Be Back! Will go back over and over as long as these owners are around!!! We stayed the last week of July Really Friendly Really Friendly The owners and staff are really friendly. We have been going for 3 yrs now and have watched the owners work hard to improve the campground. The pool is beautiful. The showers are clean. If you have any questions about anything they will answer them.
And the camp store has reasonable prices. Can't wait until our next trip. Pleasant Campground Pleasant Campground Pleasant campground atmosphere. Good WIFI. Using our own unlimited. Plenty of things to see in area, like Bear Ranch and White fish Point. Negative is no Television stations, not even over the air. Can't Wait To Visit Again! I stayed here 3 nights with my family and we will definitely be back! Everything was clean, the campsite was a good size, we had running water and electricity at our site, along with a nice fire pit, and picnic table.
The showers we're clean, had excellent water pressure, and just as hot as you please. We were very happy with our stay here and can't wait to come visit again! The staff was very friendly and helpful from shining lights on our site while we set up late night, to grabbing my kids Frisbee from the roof!
